Do I have fibromyalgia?

Hello,

I am struggling with pain and chronic fatigue and whole body itching. Am wondering if I have fibromyalgia and think that I do.

Any comments?

Hi Celstemarie

It's normally a long road to a fibro diagnosis and it usually is given by a rheumatologist after all other investigations have proved negative. If you visit your GP they will probably organise some blood tests for you to rule out other things and if they think it necessary will refer you on to your local hospital. Fibro is different for all of us and the list of symptoms is long and not everyone will have the same symptoms and indeed my own symptoms can change from week to week. It may help to keep a diary so that you can show it to the consultant should you get a referral. Good luck.

Thanks so much for all advice. I do have a health diary and will use it more often.

Will also start the official diagnosis process with my internist.

Even though you haven't had a diagnosis yet as to what is causing your symptoms, please do not be afraid to stay and chat, and ask for support as you are in pain and suffering.
