Hi Annab124,

From my own experience, my answer is "Yes" if you got too much going on in your life. Another is very forgetfulness, stressed when extremely tired. It all depends on individuals. Now I make lists to remind myself of trying to achieve at least one thing, mainly everyday personal chores, if I cannot complete my aim I certainly don't feel guilty. 😇

Would you mean things like deciding you need a cup of tea,,, you hobble to the kitchen and wonder what you were going to do. You stand there wondering but can't remember??????

You think,,, I must have been going to try and put those few dishes away,,,, the doorbell goes! By the time you get there the postman is gone and has left one of those red cards saying to phone to arange a re-dilivery. You go to the phone to call and think, GLASSES,, I can't read that number,, they make the print so small now, by the time you find the glases your can't find the red card, now what did I do with that card? I'll make a cup of tea and you think,,, That card,, I'll bet it's sitting on the stairs. It''s not there,,,, but you notice the hall table is a bit dusty and go to get a damp cloth,,,. By the time you get to the cupboard you need to go to the toilet,, it can't wait!

You get back and think,,, Now what was I going to do,, I know I was doing something,,,,, Oh god I need a lie down. Then your daughter phones to see how you are and say's shes going to come over and take you out for a bit of lunch and you can get a few grocieries in the local shop on the way back. You go to get your coat and notice the cup of tea that you made earlier, it's cold. Daughter arrives, your coat is half on half off but you can't find your keys,,,, eventualy you find them,, sitting on the worktop under your nose and stand crying inconsoleably at your own stupitidy. You get to the cafe the stomach is churning but you manage the tea and a we bit of the scone. Then you get to Tesco and your standing there and can't think what you need,,, the daughter decides,,, you get to the checkout and haven't got your purse, panic sets in,, the daughter pays and you can give it to her later. You get home the purse is sitting on the dusty hall table,,, your pleased to find the purse but I really have to dust that table. The grocieues you got you didn't need and you have no tea bags or washing up liquid,,, but you need a lie down. Before you know it it's dark and time to go to bed,, you've not nothing done are exausted and wonder how your going to get up the stairs.

The cold tea is still sitting on the worktop, as are the dishes your were going to put away,, the hall table still needs dusted, you didn;t phone the post office and still haven't found the card,,,, but it will be OK tomorrow as you will make a list,, the same list you have been promising to make for years but always forget as you have so much to do!

If that is a tipical day,,, it's probably the fibro fog,,, it's awful!

Welcome to the club!

Sadly that's the way we seem to live our lives,,,it is so frustrating and few understand,,, of course the world and it's wife think they can't remembrer things but they haven't a clue about the world of fibro. I used to joke that I thought I caught Alzhimers of mum!

The best I can say is try not to worry about it and if you can manage to get something done each day all the better!

Ray it sounds funny reading it, living it is difficult to say the least

Twinks,, It's not funny living it,, it's frustrating and lonely and sad,,, it makes use feel useless and stupid and I think responsible for much of the self isolation that goes on.

I sometimes look at things I have written and think,,, when did my spelling get so bad,, I know something is wrong looking at it but I can't work out just what. Then I look at how others with fibro write and it's just the same.

Don't beat yourself up,,, leave that to the Dr, they inevitabley will if not with there words then with their meds.

I am so fed up with the whole thing,, but there is nothing we can do!
