Hi, I’m newly diagnosed and trying to understand symptoms a bit more. Does anyone deal with pain/achey feeling going down your legs and arms? Its pretty constant and mostly on one side of my body (the side I experience back pain) I was also told I have slight disk desiccation.

If I may ask what are your other conditions? Do you believe this sort of pain is down to fibromyalgia?

Hi AmyFx , and a very warm welcome to this lovely, friendly forum.

If you go to our mother site at fma.org and go to the top of the page you will see the word Information. Click on that and you will find a lot of useful information, including typical symptoms etc.

Remember though that we're all different, and one persons symptoms may be completely different from someone else's.

I do get a lot of pain going down my arms and my legs, but my pain is generally on both sides, though sometimes it will be one sided. xx

healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., hello there and welcome, I see Moal61 has already posted a link for you, for me with my back legs I’m using a gel to rub on as much as the instructions say I can, at night when I can rest Epsom salts bath is great as well. Has your doctor given you any meds to help with pain at all? You will read lots of posts how people deal with fibro on a daily basis , useful tips etc, if you would like to lock your posts there is a link above , only our community can see and not open to any site engines on the internet xx

Thank you for the advice! I am on amitriptyline but I don’t think it’s doing anything 😕 currently titrating the dose. rheumatology didn’t want to put me on meds because I have Crohn’s disease and on many other meds too. GP and I have discussed other forms of pain meds like gabapentin but it was a joint decision to not start anything else until I have the physiotherapy program at the end of this month!

Oh I see, let us know how the programme works out take care xx

Hello AmyFx,

Yes, I seem to have developed pain/achey feeling just in my left leg not my right.

I am no longer worried as Fibro is full of surprises.

Just rest and take painkillers when you need to.

Big hugs

Sue x

Thanks sue! It’s reassuring knowing other people have the same pain even though it’s very individual.

Hi Amy, yes I have these pains too. My worst spot is my shin bones, it feels like I'm being repeatedly stabbed in the legs 🙄 x
