Struggling to keep going!

Seriously struggling these days, I have to keep going for my kids but not sure where to find the strength! Medication only seems to help with the sleep but the pain gets worse every day. People keep telling me about CBD oil, anyone had good results with it?

Henrychicken I fully understand how you are feeling because I've been feeling the same. Do you have a good understanding Doctor and how long have you been on your medication if you are on medication when did you have a medication review, maybe it would be worth a visit. Meanwhile sending you a gentle hug.

Fortunately I gave a good husband who helps me enormously. My children are grown up but if yours are able ask them to give you a little help with chores.

I have had this for about 9 years and things have improved sometimes but the wave of feeling ready to drop hasn't. I am on Pregabalin for pain. Steroids I take associated with my other diseases helps alot. I have never tried anything else so can't advice on the oil but am sure others will give their views

I take CBD oil and get it from CBD brothers and to be honest it doesn’t do that much for me. I have tried several strengths of the oil but it hasn’t affected mypain. I think it’s worth a try because it might ok for you. I’d try anything even the proper stuff if I could get hold of it!

Good morning, so sorry you are struggling, i remember those days. What concerns me is that doctors try to mask the pain, which can be a helpful on a temporary basis but not forever, as side effects will add to your suffering.

I always promote Dr Leon Chaitows Fibromyalgia & muscle pain book - its changed my life, and you will be surprised at the results you will get, even changing small things makes a big difference in the pain you will feel. Dr Chaitow believes we can all get better, and the biggest reason the recovery percentage is low is because people listen to there GP's

Please don't suffer alone, we have all been there, we are here to help and support you whenever you need it

Hi kitten whiskers

I am currently researching your recommended book fibromyalgia & muscle pain by leon chaitow but unsure as to which edition to get as there seems to be a few with same title. The original published 2001 but latest one appears to be 2015..which is more expensive. Which one would be more beneficial as I presume latest one had up to date info.. Thankyou x

Good afternoon Softblanket,

I have the older version, published by Thorsons and it is an amazing book, I think he fully understood our suffering. One thing I would say though is I also had an older copy of Leon Chaitows Candida book, but the newer version was not as good, as they had just taken alot of the valuable information out - not saying that would be the same with the fibro book, but worth mentioning xx

Hi there, yes it’s pretty hard with pain and trying to keep going with children, I agree with mrsvegas book in to see your gp again and see if there’s something else to try, do you have anybody to help you or family that may lend a hand ?? Now and then. Not heard much about cbt oil, I m on codiene when really struggling but only when my pain is up like it is now , but doctor says do not take them all the while as addictive, if possible get some Epsom salts to put in your bath and when children are asleep have a soak in that at night. Some people use a tens machine ?? X

I bought my cbd oil from Holland and Barrett they had to order it in, I'm not sure if I never gave it much time to get into my system but didn't do much for me. Mind I will tell you it tastes vile, I found having a hot cup of tea at hand got rid of the taste. 😀
