Coming off Pregablin

So I decided this week to wean myself off my pregablin as it has been making me really depressed and I actually feel dead inside. One minute I’m really sad then I’m angry... it’s so strange and after reading up I’ve learned that it’s the meds. Has anyone got any other suggestions I can do that isn’t prescribed meds by doc cos I need a break from them. Thanks

have you spoken to your GP before coming off them and agreed how to come off them? Also the application of them ay be able to be changed by taking a smaller dose that is increased over time to lessen side effects and then make the body tolerate them and take the beneficial effect.

I’m already on a low dose as I was weary about taking them. I’m really sensitive to medication and most make me very ill. I tried to talk to a GP the other day who was worse than useless and then I phoned to see my normal doc and can’t get app until 7th January. I’m also getting bad heart palpitations will them so I have stopped taking my morning dose and just taking night time one for now. My mum was previously on these so I know how to come off them safely

I agree with "Des ask gp before coming off this kind of drug, you risk getting withdrawal and thats awful.. a lower dose might be the answer,,maybe ask gp if you can add paracetamol for pain releif.
