Working from home ideas needed?

I’m 37, was a teacher for 16 years, but had to give it up 2 years ago as I couldn’t manage the work load. I’ve been working part time for a local company but it involves a lot of driving and occasional light lifting. I can no longer do it because the impact of me working has such negative implications for the rest of the week, leaving me bed bound in between work days. It’s not fair on my children or partner who are left picking up the pieces. Especially as it’s minimum wage and I only do 6 hours a week on two days. I’m gutted because I enjoy it, but knowing how badly it affects me and the family after each work session has made me start dreading it. Plus my partner says it’s not worth the money. £47 per week.

We are in the lucky position that I don’t need to earn lots, and I do get PIP. Standard care, Higher mobility.

I need to do something from home that keeps my brain active and let’s me feel like I’m making a contribution to the world.

What do you do? Any suggestions?

this is UK and might have some ideas for you indeed.co.uk/Home-Based-Edu...

I do some work for Open University - it would depend on your discipline clearly but open.ac.uk/jobs/tutors/vaca...

and there's always this workingmums.co.uk/home-work... if you want non academic stuff

Hi bendymum , is there any way you can put your teaching experience to use and look into doing private tutoring or maybe proof reading? It can be competitive but if you can specialise you may be able to make a go of it? Good luck. x

Teaching over the net? TEFL for foreign kids? Coaching for exams? Think if you are qualified there are opportunities out there. You need a web cam n like kids. Or even adults? Have a look. I hear people can make money this way. What fun to tutor a kid from China or anywhere. N you can do it anywhere you have internet!

There is something I've made enquiries about it was mature sex chat I;ve done some for male friends feeling horny been told I'm very good I've got all of the details but i'm soon going through a Divorce procedure & need to be squeaky clean I think it was through a company called Expedia you can choose your hours of working your application must be done on-line then I think you have a sort of a verbal tests both for sexual voice which I did have but its not natural .after a stroke my voice has altered & with age it can be a bit croaking its not something I'm looking forward to doing but if needs must at £400 per week eventually you will eventually build up regular callers they must stay talking for I think 2 minutes otherwise you don't get paid as your a teacher couldn't you do extra curricular for pupils falling behind both of my daughter had maths tuition 1 evening a week it depends on your experience as a teacher can you specialise in a area of teaching that students need more one to one contact on of my daughters also had Drama & english study taking exams entering Competitions she was well known as being a winner attending one competition we were early taking seats at the front other children started arriving I overheard one of them say we won't stand a chance Gemma Blanchard is here & sure enough her set piece was amazing in her last year of school they decided to have a play my daughter had the leading part she was one more pass with the London English School of Speech & Drama to have qualified to become a teacher. I thought she was good enough to be a actor but was very correct going to auditions being told no she always got upset at Primary school if she was having difficulty she hated losing even at home playing Monopoly she made the right decision of going to university to gain a degree as a Speech & Language Therapist even with that she could do some work privately as in the area in which she lives having 3 children she has been allowed to choose how many days that she works & hours as there is a shortage of experienced Speech & language therapist its frustrating for her as she has just reached success with one child but feels a few more sessions would be worth while she has to close that file & move on to the rest as you can imagine her 3 children are well spoken with your qualification as a teacher or if required you could gain further exams to add to your degree in particular maybe languages one of my daughters had to have some extra to keep up with her class as she moved school with learning German for 6 weeks & then switch to French for 6 weeks so joining a School who taught only French she needed a bit extra but my youngest daughter went after Primary School straight to the Private School her sister was switched from local Comprehensive which was really bad her primary school in particular in Maths she learnt her times table at a early stage was at the level of py went to Comprehensive & had to learn her times table regressing she was chosen to represent her County in a Chess Competition after she told me about a geography lesson the pupils throwing rubbers all around the class the Teacher not taking any control both her & a studious friend from primary school walked out of the lesson a made there way back to home. I f you achieve success with one pupil by word of mouth you will have a waiting list forget sex chat you have a lot more going for you maybe adding another degree o to the one you already have might help my daughter which was sponsored by her employer she works who took a degree in Business Management was able alongside able to take a Marketing degree

which was sponsored by her employer she works who took a degree in Business she now works for Lloyds TSB as a project Manager her husband works for the same Company that how they met he is a Marketing Manager the both at times need to have overnight stays in hotels they juggle both work & family having 2 children but having the back up of family helping out now technology enables them to work from home with conferences using laptops its way above my understanding I hope I've helped you in some way forget sex chat build upon the experience you have i the work of a qualified Teacher food for thought as I don't know if your teaching at Comprehensive level or primary but parents want the best education they can for their children if it means some private tution to get them up to speed there you are a few flyers printed of further tuition handed out at school gates or in local shops will get you started good luck
