Abusive behaviour from strangers.

Yesterday I got a load of abuse from a mother when I went to pick up my click and collect. I have had this many times through the school holidays. And always at supermarkets. I know many mothers are stressed by having their little darlings/monsters for 6 weeks. And there is a lot of kids that are just not disaplined. That is no excuse for verbal abuse from people. I have been threatened, and shouted at many times now. And has anybody else experienced this. There seems to be more abuse to the disabled since Cameron and the media decided we are all scroungers. I am feeling very down about this abuse I received and am getting sick of it keep happening.

Wow I was saddened to read your posting. I am just surfing here and doing some research as I have among other things Rheumatoid arthritis, until feb this year I was very fit and healthy. Three months ago I went to the doctors with a shoulder pain and ra amongst other serious problems was confirmed.

So I live in a nice home car etc and people think nice guy until they see me getting a lift to the hospital in a nhs bus 🚌, I get comments similar to there is no way chap I would go with them with a car like that.

This world has gone mad

Hi sorry to hear that you are having such an abusive time, I haven’t had any abuse like that but I do find people stand looking when I park in disabled bays. I find it incredible that people check you out to see if you have a blue badge but no one die anything about those who park there without a badge. One time I asked a man who was sitting in his car, with no badge, if he would be long. The reply was, what’s it got to do with you , when I pointed out that he was in a disabled bay he told me his car was worth more than mine and he didn’t intend to get it scratched. It’s a £70 fine for parking in the bays without a badge but I bet it’s rare to find anyone who has been handed a fine. Hope things improve for you when the children return to school next week x

I’m sorry to hear of you getting abuse from another person, I also have been abused on many occasions, when dropping my kids to school I’ve been abused, when I can’t walk due to pain, and parked sensibly on the double yellows to allow me to take my children to school, and I’ve been called all sorts of names, even with my badge in the window, to the point where I said to the guy, I’m disabled I have a badge I can park here. His reply was “I don’t give a f*** you cant park there!”. When I park in bays I always get looked at by passes by, and I can see them looking in my window for a badge, so now I say, “yes don’t worry I have a disabled badge!” So frustrating, we shouldn’t have to go through this. To be honest it’s absolute ignorance from others, and making an immediate decision on what they are seeing. Feeling your frustration. I think my problem is because I’m only 38. So I can’t be disabled in some people’s minds. Hugs 🤗

What were the circumstances and why did they feel the need to carry out such deplorable actions ?
