There is no cure but you can find things that work for you ... ask the doctors about amyltriptoline ... it helps you to relax at night , do small tasks rather than trying to do to much at once ... see if your gP can refer you to a fibro group and pain management etc - some days your just not going to be able to function , don’t feel guilty and make the most of those days where you can do something

Sadly this is Fibromyalgia. But there is plenty you can do to help yourself. Your G.P can only give you medications or a referral to a pain clinic or Rheumatologist if you havnt already had one.

Things that help me;

First and foremost CBD oil. I go on about it all the time but there are plenty of posts on here about it as lo tof us use it for the pain. Have a search,

2 prescription medications. There are a few; The GABA group, Gabapentin and Pre-GAbilin which do help neuropathic pain (shooting, stabbing ,tingling from the nerves), Opioids- anything from Co-Codamol right up to Morphine. SSRI's/SNRI's such as Cymbalta can help the pain. of course all these meds have side effects and it depends on how much they help you as to how much you can stand! I've had many side effects and medication to combat the side effects over the years!!

Hot or cold-I prefer heat. A boiling hot bath helps my muscles.

TENS/or in my case I bought a Microcurrent Alpha Stim machine which I swear by but not cheap. My reasoning was that Fibro is a life time condition so it was worth spending for something that really works for me.

PAcing; Learning how much you can and cant do and when to rest to try and avoid flare ups. Flare ups happen regardless but it does help to pace.

Supplements, I take Vit D in large doses 40000mg a day, Malic Acid and Magnesium for muscle pain. Some people find Turmeric helps-I didnt, Then for trying to help the energy I take Glutathione, L glutamine and Co ENzyme Q10.

Hope that helps a bit-Others will have ideas also as to whats helped them
