It all depends on the council. Contact them & ask. I've got one but have numerous other things wrong too...🙄

It depends how far you can walk I believe and how badly you are affected,I think it’s about 40 metres
You generally need to be in receipt of the mobility award of pip. I used to work on the helpline and the local councils do actually call in to check! Your mobility needs to be significantly affected. It is worth applying though as it is down to the individual local authority’s discretion.

I have a blue badge. I filled out the online application and then wrote a lot more in the notes section that it gives you. I didn’t have a medical or anything just purely the form
Yes. I filled in the form, went for an assessment. Failed that and had to make an appeal. I got it after that. Took 6 months in total but am so glad I did it.
