Good News for a change

Hi Everyone

I am on this site because of my son. We have just had some good news. He applied for PIP's and after a long wait and expecting to be turned down he finally heard yesterday that he has been awarded PIP's. He was working when he applied so he hasn't been awarded much but every little helps now as he is off sick and looks after his young son on his own. I would like to say that I think what helped was the assessor he had was a Para medic and she seemed to understand what Fibro is and also she had dealt with patients with it. So to you all who have to apply there is hope out there, so keep trying.

That is great news, as you say every little helps. It might open other doors for him (ie benefits) I’m not sure, but he should look into it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.

Yes thank you, we found out quite a bit from our local information centre. They told him to apply for PIP's.

Good stuff, well he can go online and see if he’s entitled to anything else, especially as he’s rearing his young son on his own I would definitely be looking into things. Really happy for him xx
