I know its a lot of UK fibro sufferes on here so ss stands for social security. I filed for SS 4 years ago when i quit this very physically demanding job, leaving in tremendous pain that otc pain relievers could not handle and could not get a diagnosis from any local physicians or local ra specialist. it wasn't till last year a visiting ra specialist herd my symptoms and ran test and immediately diagnosed me with fibro. I'm feeling weary of filing for it again. If any people are on here from the u.s and know more about this issue please share what you did.

Scared too file for SS again
Sorry I can't help you as I am in the UK but can commiserate as our own system of ESA is a minefield to negotiate and seems very hit and miss who gets into what category. I wish you luck.x
Please file again!!! I've heard that many get turned down the 1st time. As much documentation as you can get is helpful.
The first mistake when they turned you down was to appeal. If they turn you down. You get a lawyer and let him take it over. You don't get charged any money unless he wins. But you apply again don't drop it keep appeal if they turn you down again you get a lawyer he'll take it from there. Don't give up it took me a year and some people a lot longer but you get back pay. I had to go to a hearing. I got it they say 9times out 10 you'll get it
I get more because I didn't make enough so they give me more from ssi. I hope this helps you. Susiejo1948
