Hi all. Hope your all not in too much pain this Friday evening. Well i had an eye operation on Wednesday my eye is really sore but my whole body is in a flare up and the pain is sooooo bad. Its worse than normal,i can only put it down to the general anasetic i had I'm only guessing mind. but its the onky thing i can think of. My skin hurts and everything. Think a nice quite weekend is in order. Its a good excuse to just lay oon the couch and chill. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. Hope u all have a good weekend with as little pain.

Oh Debs poor you. Quite common to feel this way after a GA. We fibro folk do suffer more than most - it seems our whole body sees it as an assault and goes into overdrive on the pain side. All I can suggest is rest, rest and more rest with plenty of fluids. I find the microwaveable heat wheatbags help or a soak in epsom salts, a good soft duvet and a snuggle with a dog are my ways of coping.

Hiya Dinkie thankyou for the reply. Yeah I've found this before like ya say after a GA our bodies hurt far more. This damn fibro is a nightmare I'm sure u and many of us feel like screaming why me. I know there are people far worse of than me but it doesn't make me feel any better. Yeah that's my plan Like ya say rest and plenty of it. Both hubby and my son are both looking after me. My son rang me when he'd finished work just to check im ok and if i needed anything. (Bless him).๐Ÿ˜ƒ. Yeah going to use my microwaveable dog for heat relief. I'd love nothing more to snuggle up with my dog Bruno but unfortunately he passed away 2 years ago this July. He would of been 15 in the October i miss him so much i have s tattoo of a paw print on my wrist with his name underneath it. Xxx๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Glad you are being looked after. So sad about your dog but better to have had him and suffer the agony of losing than never to have experienced that unconditional love and adoration. I always say never again whenever I lose one of mine but I just can't live without the companionship a dog offers.

Hi Debbs, long time!! How are you???

Having trouble posting to you. Hope your doing better

Debbs, are you getting my messages?

Hiya Michele . Yeah long time no hear. How ya doing my friend. God it has been ages since I've heard from you. How have u been. Have u been Upto much. Had an eye op on Wednesday this week so my eye is rather sore as u could imagine. Hope your doing well. I'm getting the messages your putting on here. Unless you've sent me any private messages. Xxx

Wasnt sure if my messages were going thru, i had to resign up all over again. Im having same issues too. Now I need 2 knee replacements! I knew i wouldnt be able to do the physical therpay on the knees with my back injury with the nerve damage. So i did some research and found a dr who does pain pumps, i did the trial a week ago and it worked!! Im stunned! Nobody even suggested this for me after suffering in bed for 7 years! Well they are putting in for the insurance approval, should take a few weeks til that happens and then i get the inplant. One to two months, 3 at the most after that i should be able to make the appt for 1st knee replacement. I can barely walk to the toilet and the bathroom is in my bedroom!! You need to inquire about a pain pump, since its planted at the spine, it covers all pain

Hope your issues that your having are you serious and the stress of it isn't causing u to much pain. My surgeon / pain clinic mentioned a few yrs ago about having an implant put into my back to try to ease the pain, but they decided against it as because i have chronic pain in a few different places it might work on 1 area but intensifying the pain in the other parts of my body. That's if it's the same one that u have. Defo worth me asking gp about it. So what is the thing like in your bk is it like a chip?xxx

Debbs, they do a trial first, what have you got to lose?? They are putting mine at bottom of the spine, i also have other issues elsewhere like you. It covers everything. Please inquire, its just a trial. Theres 2 diff trials,, 1st which they did on me is one shot of fentynol and only lasts about 2 hours. The 2nd is where they put a temporary lead and it remains in for about 3 to 4 days.

Do u know what they are called. Yeah your right I've nothing to loose. Like yourself you've probably used everything that you possibly can to try and ease your pain. Xxx

Yes Boxing Day Just Gone ... worst Christmas for me ... I can't have children so he was so close to me ... my husband said when Bruno died part of me died with him ... it's true ...

I had him also cremated and have him in little wooden box with his name on top ... have little candle next to him and my favourite picture ... I talk to him at times wish he was here ... xx

You sound just like me. I agree with u there i think apart of me died too. When your pet is part of the family like mine and yours was it's awful. We had him since he was 6 weeks old my husband and son always says debb he had a fantastic life he couldn't be more loved and spoilt like he was. What type of dog was your Bruno. Ours was a staffy pit cross. But was daft as a brush and so loveable. Xxx

โ€ข in reply toDebbs73

Ah Our Bruno was Patterdale terrier ... got him after we got married in 2008 and he was 7 weeks old than ... he would of been 10 on 23 April just gone ... my husband and my stepdaughter said Bruno was so loved and had amazing life ... we had connection... Ellie became close to me now too ... they sense when u not well and used to cuddle up with me... hope you feeling little better today ...

Alena xx
