Hi everyone, I’m new here and wondered if anybody can help me? I’ve been suffering with osteoarthritis for 5yrs now, with a slipped disc in my neck and I had one in my lower back. On multiple tablets for the pain but tnothng seems to really work, I mea I manage to move about but have to have crutches to go outside with. Went and saw a surgeon about my back, he suggested an mri scan up to date one, which they have ow found the disd has gone back. Great news, but why am i still in so much pain!!

My gp a few months ago said he thought i might have fibromyalgia cause of all the pain in my back neck and shoulders around the shoulder blades and down the spine, i keep getting shootin pains down my one leg that once it hits my knee it gives way.

I had to give work up 2yrs ago due to all the pain and it mak me down and useless i cant work!!

My son has fibromyalgia he’s had it for 12 months, he was only 16 when he was told about it, he’s also type 1 diabetic which he’s had 6yrs now. But of his symptoms he has i a have! As well as the sever pain, theses the dry mouth I’m constantly drinking the tiredness i can actually fall asleep standing up now!! Small blisters on my hands and feet, forgetfulness omg I’m tereble i have post it notes everywhere to remember stuff and i still forget everything.

I need help, does anybody think i might have fibromyalgia?

Really great full if anybody can help me x

Well they say it can be inherited so if your son got it it looks like you may have it. Have you had blood test done to check it is nothing else?

No blood test for Fibromyalgia but they need to cross off other things before they will say yes or no!!!

Not as afar as i know, I’ve had a few over the yrs but don’t remember anybody saying it’s to rule them out. Although one of the last ones was for thyroid glands.

Is there anything else they might ask for? See when my son was told it was over 12 months ago and my memory ain’t the best at all
