Hi, Hope everyone is ok.

My muscle spasms are terrible at the moment. Couldn't sleep, get agitated, crying. No one knows unless they have Fibro.

Anyway,I have read in the Sunday paper that Tai Chi is supposed to be helpful to ease the pain.

Does anyone do it and if so ,does it help?

I personally found I struggled with some midnight Tai Chi moves but to be honest it could be because I also have costo chondritis. I do know quite a few people have found that it has helped them. I used to work for a charity fornthe elderly that ran classes and many people attended that particular class said their movement had improved since taking up Tai Chi. I do think gentle exercise in good as since I started doing stretches first thing in the morning and core exercises prescribed by a physio my range of movement has improved. Good luck if you decide to try it and please let us know how you get on.x

I get them at night too (note the time!), pregabalin helps, but so did cutting out sugar and caffeine. Walking/hobbling has also helped me a lot and I’m willing to try anything so please report back on the Tai Chi and when I’m up to it I’ll give it a go!

Hubby, with parkinsons and I with Fibro tried to teach Tai Chi to ourselves using a video tape. Didn't work....too slow, but I'd still like to be in a class to learn. I don't get to many places. Epstein Barr virus really slows me down.

Hi Princess60

I don't do Tai Chi, but i read the same thing.

I do Yoga once or twice a week (depending on what my body and schedule allow) and I do find that helpful. i have a great teacher that knows i have fibro and helps be adjust properly and never pushes me too far.

hi hun I,m giving the toning tables a try next week, you dont do much they tend to do it for you and the attendants at the various gymns set them low and move upwards each time, let you know if i get results.
