Hi

I personally think you should consult with your doctor about health care you may need at home if that's one of the case .. be worth asking your doctor to to be referred to occupational health who may be able to help in some way.

You don't really say what help you need . But my advice would be to contact your doctor and ask for help from them first along with any other care giver help you may need . You may even qualify for pip which would help you more .. good luck xx

Hi there. You can’t apply for PIP for the first time if you are older than 64 yrs. as Hidden says, you would apply for Attendance Allowance.

If you feel you need help with your care, or need adaptations or aids in your home, then ring Adult Social Services, and ask for a Needs Assessment (this is for England) I don’t know what the rules are in other parts of the UK. It would also be a good idea to get your Dr involved for support by keeping them up to date with all the changes in your health.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

GP. 😊😊

Good Morning :) I see you have had some very helpful replies from our lovely members already. If you have been diagnosed and it's getting worse and you are suffering please book an appointment to talk things over with your GP this would be the first place to start when looking in to applying for any kind of help. Good luck and please let us know how you get on. I hope you can enjoy a pain free day xx

Aww I didn't realise there was an age thing involved but I do think there must be some sort of social care on hand to help you cope x

Hi there, good morning :) I am over 65 and I applied for Attendance Allowance for my 'diseases'. You have to apply for it at the DWP and send in all your medical reports about all the problems that you have. I hope you are feeling well this morning. Have a good day :)
