Trying to work

I'm writing this on behalf of my daughter who also has fibromyalgia. She has been working a 45 hour week but is now so ill, she is having to cut down to 32 hours. Does anyone know if there is a benefit she can claim to offset her loss of wages. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Scatterbrain,

Your daughter would be best contacting your local CAB. They will go through everything with her, and see if their is anything she would be entitled to claim. x

Hello!

May I suggest that your daughter phones the FMA UK Benefits helpline on 0300 999 0055, which is operated on Monday and Friday morning from 10 -12, each week. They will hopefully have information that can help her xx

Sorry i also meant to say that she can apply for PIP. This benefit is not means tested and is tax free. You can apply for it even if ur working or in education. Best wishes xx
