Swollen ankles

Hi was wondering if anyone has problems with their ankles and legs swelling at night. Doctor told me I've damaged my heel can't remember what he said except it would take 2 to 3 months to heal. My husband said I'm needing to slow down and rest throughout the day so I did this yesterday didn't do anything all day but still at night my ankles and legs were still swollen just wondering if anybody has this problem and how to prevent thi from happening

My legs swell and my ankles before I go to bed I raise my legs for a while and that helps but I ware up in the middle of the night with my legs stining I asked a doctor about this she said it is nerves in your legs but try raising your legs on another chair or some cushions under your legs in bed it will help

Thank you was just a bit worried because I've had blood clots in my legs and lungs even although I'm on tablets for this I was still worried I case I was getting another clot
