Fybro vs polymyalgia

Hi I was diagnosed with fybro about 12 yes ago I have now been diagnosed with polymyalgia I just wondered if anyone else out there has both or just unlucky me xx

I know their are several who have both conditions and hopefully they will reply to you .

I don't have Fibro but do have PMR and have done for about 5 years .

if you are lucky your treatment for polymyalgia may greatly improve what you thought were your fibro symptoms. It is a differential condition for fibro but will improve with steroids.

As desquinn mentions as you start steroid treatment for PMR, this should reduce any symptoms from this condition that may be impacting on the Fibromyalgia. Were you diagnosed with PMR first and then Fibro as a secondary condition?

It might be worth as Rose54 suggested joining the HealthUnlocked for PMR too - I myself have had Fibromyalgia for over 10 years and they are looking at a diagnosis of ME now too.
