I'm so sorry to hear that hun; it can be really hard for people to understand as they can't see it (not justifying it though!) I had to change from hospitality which I loved to an office job; but now I'm training to be an accountant as I'm so glad it happened. So sometimes bad things can lead to even better ones. Do you have friends and family that are helping to support you ♥️

Family will.. and until they see you at your worst they think we put it on... I have found over the last few weeks as not known long myself but all illnesses prior pointed to this... to be kind to myself! It has been very hard.. but if I can't do something or feel tired I rest and do what I feel is right for me.

Some people get cross because your not running around after them as much... mmm doesn't that tell us how much we do for others and time they look after themselves and step up to returning the favour every now and again.

It isn't any good being hard on yourself.. I've been there..

Why me

What did I do

Is it real

This isn't how I planned my life

What's to come

I don't like this

I am useless etc etc

Where did it get me... in bed feeling worse as I was stressed out!

Take a deep breath.. read up and think of the positive things we CAN STILL DO..

Oh we are always here for you too

Healing thoughts x

I completely understand that xxx

Oh I do think those type of remarks could be gotten rid of, can you imagine if it was him?? Man flu or what? I had to leave a promising career in theatre nursing last year, the brain fog was rife and I just couldnt understand some days what was being asked of me- my legs wouldnt allow me to run for the crash trolley either so i decided to take early retirement at 61.

I think you have to have time to mourn the passing of the old us and start adjusting life to fit in with the new us. People very close to us also have to make this adjustment but I think it takes them longer. I too was very upset when I had to leave the job I adored but when I was feeling a little bit I realised that with all the fibro symptoms I just wasn't up to it.x
