Can't work anymore..

Started a new job 4 months ago. Full time property manager. Having trouble with lpr, pain, brain fog and fatigue. Job is very demanding and gp has told me to give it up. Have to resign tomorrow after such a short time. Not looking forward to facing my boss. Probably won't sleep tonight.

Hi

Sorry to hear that

don't know your circumstances but you may be better to get sick note from GP and then go for advice from CAB .

If you want to claim ESA you will need sick note

I really feel for you I had to give up mine in Feb due to chronic back pain also had to turn down a full time job Friday as it was standing all day and I can't stand that long. I just sat down and cried I really want to work but struggling to find something I can manage

I feel for you. I feel so guilty for leaving after only 4 months, but i just can't do it any more. I have to think about my health and my family. They have been very understanding.

Sorry to hear that. I was just thinking that maybe you could come to some agreement with your boss after explaining that you have Fibromyalgia, perhaps you could work part-time and do more of your work from home? If not, it might be an idea to look for a job with less pressure where you could do that. I realise that is easier said than done and you may not be able to work part-time but just a thought. Hope it works out for you.

Thank you cherry78

I live in a small country town in victoria australia so there really aren't many part time jobs available. Might have to try and find something i can do at home.

There are many jobs that can be done on the internet nowadays. I worked from home as an online tutor for several years. If there isn't something you can apply for, maybe think of starting your own business, hope this helps.

I feel for you I really do as I too lost my job through ill health. It was really hard at first but I now know there is no way I could have continued without it affecting me further. Please don't beat yourself up about it. Sometimes there are changes in our lives which at the time are hard but in my experience I believe these things happen for a reason. Its not always clear at the time but something good may be waiting around the corner. good luck. Joolz.x
