Revoking of administration.

It is with regret I have to inform you that I cannot work as an admin on this forum.

My Admin badge was removed within twenty four hours by HU, without any explanation.

It seems wanting to help and support fellow sufferers in this community is secondary to office politics.

I'm not prepared to be used, kept in the dark and prevented from doing the next right thing.

I apologise to all, especially those who offered thanks. What goes on behind the scenes is not what I expected as a long term member. Frankly I'm appalled.

For those of you who don't know me I'm an ex military officer, Whitehall advisor and blue chip company business consultant, specialising in change management. I say this only to show I have significant management and administrative experience. This site has serious issues it needs to address.

Thank you all. Hoping your having a low pain and fatigue day.

I will most likely be banned for writing this but it has been a pleasure, you have all been a great support and many become like friends and family.

Don't let fibro rule your life! Treat the symptoms and bare the rest with grace, manners and goodwill as the vast majority of you do.

Bright Blessings of love, light and health

Patrick xxx

Dawn,

it's a pity you have sought to post this without talking to me first. Again if you have question or think there may be more to things then you could have asked me rather than posting this which is obviiously going to cause more disharmony and questions.

I will post here what I have posted elsewhere:

Edit by Desquinn

I have contacted Patrick to ask why he felt like posting this. I was informed that he was resigning so his badge was removed at his request. I will include my post from elsewhere.

"your admin team is still here but some of them are feeling under the weather. I am only here to support them at present due to some members being trouble makers unfortunately. However they have either been temporarily or permanently restricted now.

This bad behaviour is nothing to do with new members but people not following the rules that HU ask us to enforce. I will lock this for now."

Oh dear I'm sorry to hear you have been treated badly, something is clearly amiss higher up with two Admins removed within a week and both of you reporting the same issues.

I'm with you Patrick. Long term members/admin are being forced into a corner with zero options. xx

Seems a lot changed when we merged a couple of years ago. I agree with "moderation" and the need to behave within certain parameters but this site is getting less and less helpful. Other HU forums are doing much different things that we're not allowed and I notice there are fewer posts daily here. I don't know who to contact, but there are clearly issues to be addressed - preferably before we all leave due to disillusionment.

Sorry to see you go. Are you remaining as a member?

likewise. I've also noticed a lot of our old stalwarts have disappeared. I hope they're ok.

This used to be the best site on HU. No longer. I hope we get some resolution as there's clearly a need for support

I'm so very sorry this is happening. I've been here for a while and have sadly seen friends leave for various reasons, but this is really sounding bad. I havent really seen any admin lately and they are great. I have great help from the wonderful people on this site, but if they are getting rid of people that's crap. I don't know what is happening.

I guess Author kept us together more than we thought.

I'm sad over this as you all have been like a family to me and now it's like we are all getting torn apart.

What on earth is happening? To cause this.

I love you fibronauts, love your journey and live life to the fullest. We may have pain but that only means we will appreciate the good times even more.

Take care of yourselves××××

It's tragic as this group has many people all going through the same thing life's too short for bickering if it's someone with an agenda and they're high up then nobody is safe hopefully people will just get on and deal with supporting each other through this god forsaken illness wishing you all well xx
