Hi cespinosa,

Thank you, yes she's a lovely dog, everybody who sees her, falls in love with her.

She's not bad for 11 & half. Mad, I know she had a male name, my boys were only little when we got her and they insisted on Buddy!! It's nice to know that we can share on here.

Your "re welcome , I'm trying to talk my hub into letting me have one but he is retiring early and we might move to spain So he says we have to wait. Nothing like the love of a dog . I'm glad she makes you feel happy .

Now you got us on here so come chat whenever you want that helps too . Enjoy rest of your day xx😇

Hello buddy1712 and a warm welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can get advice, support, help and understanding, along with a giggle or two to lighten the day.

Our mother site fmauk.org has a wealth of information about fibro, including guides and links.

Your Buddy looks like my Libby, they are so good natured aren't they? We have only been without a dog for a total of about three years out of the past 37, a home does not feel the same without a dog. :)

Looking forward to seeing you about the forum.

Kay

Hello and welcome!!

Buddy is adorable.....she resembles my Labrador Mollie (who is 12 years old).... they could be sisters!!! :) We got Mollie from a Dogs Home when she was 8months old and I had just received my fibromyalgia diagnosis. She has helped me so much, making me go out for walks to stay mobile, and keeping me company when I am at home, so I don't feel lonely. Dogs are very therapeutic and help to relieve stress. May I ask do you live by the beach? My Mollie loves the water and likes to paddle in the nearby river. She just loves to be friends with everybody she meets, which means we always have to say "hello" to everybody that we meet. When I am feeling sad she helps to cheer me up. Best wishes to you and Buddy xxx

Hiya,

Yes we do live by the beach, we're very fortunate. Oh they are such great company, Buddy seems to know when I'm free unwell or when my depression gets worse!!

My family and I are looking for a nice cottage break somewhere in North Wales. It has to be pet friendly of course 😀 Could anybody recommend anywhere?

Take care x

I hope that it is ok to mention these on here (and is not seen to be advertising) , but we have previously stayed at cottages that I have found on caninecottages.co.uk and also holidaycottages.co.uk/dog-friendly. And they have all been super. Hope that you find something suitable x

Having the dog helps a lot and your family I find Epsom salts if your having a flare up there's also lots of advice about foods ect I knew of my fibro in 2014 it took me awhile to get it under control and cope with flares but your be ok at the time when flares on it's not nice

But remember this to shall pass X maxiane 😊

Hello Buddy 1712

Can you please let me know how long after the fibro did you get diagnosed with ME? And also how did you get the diagnoses?. Sorry for asking but a few people have mentioned that to myself.

Thanks

Paula

Hi Paula,

It was only 4 months after fibromyalgia diagnosis. It was my own GP but then had a referral to CFS/ME clinic in Liverpool, they went through all my history and confirmed the diagnosis. That is very disabling in its self. I get flares from that aswell, some days/ weeks are awful.
