Hello Cazzycat and a warm welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can get advice, support, help and understanding, along with a giggle or two to lighten the day.

Our mother site fmauk.org has a wealth of information about fibro, including guides and links.

As you are so recently diagnosed, this may have left you a bit bewildered and not sure what is going to happen. I advise you to read as much as you can about fibro, but do not rely on other peoples experiences of pain or fatigue as we are all different and suffer in different ways.

Perhaps you could give us a little bit of information about yourself, are you young, retired, working, have children?

Looking forward to seeing you around the forum.

Kay

That is a difficult job to do when you are unwell yourself. You must be sure you get plenty of rest and "time out" if possible.

My husband is my carer and he pops into the shed for an hour or so if things are getting a bit fraught ! :)

Hello Cazzycat

Welcome to the forum :)

I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. It can come as quite a shock being diagnosed with a chronic condition for which there is no cure.

However! You have just found a wonderful place to come and talk, get advice and have a moan if you need to.

Take your time coming to terms with your diagnosis. Everyone suffers very differently with Fibro.

I can see that our Kay has given you the address for our mother site.

It is a good idea to get into the habit of locking your posts.
