Hello, my name is Sali, I have been here for a couple of months reading posts and reluctant to introduce myself, not knowing what to say or how to stop if get started. Most of the times I have some much to say. However, I just keep everything inside me.
Anyway, I have been suffering with pain most of my adult life, back pain since a teenager. I never thought much about it as I always pushed myself beyond the limits till I got to the point where I could no longer move out of bed ...boom the pain was noticeable to me and that was in 2007 where I decided to see my gp. Like most of us I had been made to feel crazy for 3 yrs until a new gp came along and diagnosed fibromyalgia so that was added to the depression, fractured pelvis, 3 fractured vertebrae and multifracured wrist.
I also suffer from anemia. And few other things.... can't keep up with the list...
I am again over excited again from the pain and can't sleep.
Don't know what to say more other than that I've enjoyed being on this site as a silent member and hoping to enjoy more once you've read my post.
Thanks

Welcome, I'm so glad to hear you made the decision to not be silent anymore I'm very proud of you for making that step, I understand it's not always easy putting yourself out there, in fear of being misunderstood, I'm sure there's lots of more of our fibro family that will be coming on here to welcome you.
I'm very glad that you found us there's lots of insightful information you'll receive on here , support and we do love to have a laugh in between.
Speaking from personal experience when I was first diagnosed with fibromyalgia I was so happy to find this site, great people, and I never felt uncomfortable,.
Even just to moan or rant every now and then, LOL, I found a beautiful group of people that have become like family, the support is amazing and I'm so blessed. If you just feel like popping in every now and then and reading posts that's fine too Sali, but if you ever need to chat , just drop me a line . Sending you Gentle hugs.
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted for you below a link to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:
Hi Sali24 and welcome to our wonderful forum ☺ I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you, talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro and learning from their experiences.
It does help with the whole process and I wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs and I'm still learning about it, like we all are.
I'm so sorry you have suffered so much, with pain & struggling for so long. I know the feeling well & struggled for many years, bringing up 3 kids & working full time & thinking I was going mad, made to believe I was imagining all the pain, it's very frustrating & upsetting & then when a diagnosis does come, it's a relief, that in itself sounds crazy to some people, but if you don't go through it yourself, it's impossible to understand. To finally know that you do have a medical condition and its not something life threatening or not not imagining it all, is a huge relief.
Then comes the next bit, accepting it and learning to understand & manage it the best you can & adjust your lifestyle, in most cases. This is the thing that takes time and you are definitely in the right place to help you to achieve that by chatting about your concerns.
Welcome to the site , I hope you enjoy it, there is always someone here to chat with if you want or just to rant, there's a lot of fun as well as the serious things , we share tips and information that help ourselves on the chance that it might be helpful to someone else,
I hope that you will post again now that you have got the first one over, I sometimes just read others posts as well especially when I am not sleeping much but nothing really to say
