I love these but I cant remember the name - fibrofog again! Have always meant to get one for my garden. One day perhaps. Hope you are all having the best day possible. Helen X.

Looks like one of the witch hazels; most of them have yellow flowers, but there is one red one. Flowers in winter, but does not grow well in chalky soil, as I found out when mine died!

I may get one - my soil will be okay. Will have to find someone to plant it as I dare not even look at my spade now. The dreaded fibro has ended my gardening days. Still, even though my garden is wild, it still blooms and is full of birds, frogs and mice. Helen X

Definitely looks like a witch Hazel to me. I think it is a "Chinese witch hazel" can also refer to Loropetalum chinense which is quite a popular hybrid in this country. Thanks for sharing my friend.
