yes it certainly is - I was diagnosed in the hospital by a neurologist after years of blood tests and other tests - even have it in writing ! but some doctors still tell you its in your head - don't listen to them - they haven't got a clue - good luck x

Hi there

Welcome to the forum :)

I can certainly tell you that you are by no means the only one! We actually have something like 27,000 members!

My best advice to you would be to learn as much as you possibly can about Fibromyalgia and how it affects you personally.

If you take a look at our mother site you'll find a whole load of information on there fmauk.org

All of our members have Fibromyalgia and many of us have other conditions to contend with as well.

I have Fibro, ME, Hypermobility Syndrome and osteoarthritis.

Please feel free to ask any questions you would like to and please join in any fun that is going on.

You will find that we are a very all inclusive group and you are very welcome to join in any conversations or fun that is going on.

We like to have a laugh when we can. It's a wonderful tonic.

Once again a very warm and I hope you enjoy being part of the forum :)

Wishing you less pain and more peace

:) welcome, and no you are not alone. There are a lot of nice people on this site and since some suffer differently than others we have found different approaches to bring relief. I agree with BlueMermaid3, listen to your body and see what you are experiencing and how different things affect how it feels. Figure you out, that is the only reason I am still functioning today. :) luckily I found this place and it really helped me figure myself out and received great advice from people. This site really is the best.

Good luck and feel free to ask questions about what you are experiencing with fibro, we are all suffering a little different, but there are lots of overlapping and I think there are things we mostly share.

Anyways rambling.

Hi Iriefe welcome to our wonderful forum ☺ I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you, talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro and learning from their experiences.

It does help with the whole process and I wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs and I'm still learning about it, like we all are.

As you can see, there are a few of us my friend, so your at the right place and I look forward to chatting to you on the forum.

Peace, luv n light

Jan ☺
