Hello kazsi60, you are very welcome and sorry you have had been diagnosed with fibro and arthritis. We are pretty much all in the same boat with a few different bits and bobs thrown in for good measure 😂. I would have gone crazy if I didn't have the guys in this forum for the last 4-5 months.

I will say to you what they said to me. Your not alone. Ken who is simply wonderful and gives so much is a blessing.

Remain blessed and as pain free as possible. Soft hugs xx

Hello kazsi60 and a warm welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can find understanding, support, help and advice.

Have you seen our Mother Site fmauk.org ?

Here you will find a wealth of information including guides and links.

I am sorry you are suffering so much from the pain and also from the shock of being given this diagnosis. I suggest you find out everything you can about fibro, our Mother Site is excellent as is the NHS site.

I don't know if you are working or have a young family but you will find plenty of support and advice here whatever your situation.

You can get special sprays or pastilles prescribed for a dry mouth. Be aware though that you will need to visit your dentist regularly as the lack of sliva encourages bacteria.

I hope to see you around the forum and wish you well.

Hi there

Welcome to the forum ☺

It can be a very worrying time when you are first diagnosed with Fibromyalgia so how you are feeling is completely normal.

It can also be a shock to the system as well.

You have certainly found the very best place to be. All of our members (including all Admin) suffer from Fibro and some of us also have other conditions to contend with too.

I was diagnosed with Fibro and ME in 1980. I also have osteoarthritis, depression and anxiety.

My best advice to you would be for you to learn as much as you possibly can about Fibro and how it affects you.

It does take sometime to come to terms with a diagnosis of Fibro and acceptance does not come very easily for most of us.

For the sake of internet safety look into locking your posts. I will pop back with a link to an easy to follow guide on how to do this. **

If you need any help navigating the forum please let me know and I will be very happy to help you.

Once again a very warm welcome and I look forward to chatting to you again.
