Good morning, from my experience no the pain never go's away. It will ease up to apoint were it's manageable but never go's completely. I have had fibro for over 30 years right now the pain for me is crippling.
This is just how it effects me it will be different for other's im sure. It could depend on how severly effected by fibro you are I guess.
I feel sorry for the way you are suffering it's draining to be in pain 24/7 I do hope it eases up so you can cope with things better. You may be in the middle of a flare up at the moment. Hang in there im sure your pain levels will drop if you could try and not focus too much on the pain your in right now. Oh I know how hard that is to do I really do but it helps me get through my very bad pain days like now.
((hugs))

Hello.....I wish I could say it will go away, but I cannot! I assume you have meds to take as we all do but they only relieve the pain....if it is that bad maybe your doctor could suggest an alternative that may be better for you. Keep warm xx
Hi 1005Sophie I'm sorry you are in pain all the time my friend. For me, I'm very much like Dizzytwo and would have given a similar answer. Have you been to pain management clinic ?. What medication are you on ?.
Good name by the way 😉 sending ❤
Luv Jan xx
Hi Sophie
It depends upon a variety of things and how your Fibro affects you.
We are all very different and suffer to very different degrees.
If you are not on any medication at present perhaps a trip to the GP would be worthwhile to see if they can help you.
I'm on a cocktail of different meds but unfortunately remain in crippling pain.

I can only answer for RA. For some it does but for others not. We all find ways to manage as best we can, because unfortunately we have no choice, being here helps. My RA began with a flare up in August 2011, i hope one day the flare up stops. Blessings.
Hi I think in most cases with Fibro it creeps up on you and it isn't until you look back on things that you realise. Mine started with bad spells of continuous pains and then I would have a few days off. This went on for a few years and then I woke up one day and realised that I hadn't had any pain free days for quite some time so it became a way of life in the end. Good Luck x
I have other chronic pain and the Fibromyalgia pain comes usually when the osteoarthritis pain is bad. So for me it's not all the time.

Mine started off really bad. Severe pain in my pelvis and hips that made walking very painful. Stiff and painful shoulders and arms upon waking. Then it graduated to a dull, deep ache all over, severe fatigue, headaches, with pronounced sharper pain in my lower back, between the shoulder blades and the hips. Gabapentin daily helps take the edge off the pain, and Percocet for really bad days. I also take two antidepressants. Gentle exercise and walking in a warm pool is also very helpful. It does get better as you learn to manage your symptoms. Find a compassionate doctor that listens and read as much as you can online. All the best to you!
Thank you xx
