Welcome to the Fibro madhouse Gracey, ask away anything you need help with, have a moan we all do!
lol...its got to the stage now where i feel like a guinea pig going to doctors trying different medications, the little messages I used to do now seem like big chores, school run etc. Just started B12 to see if it helps my energy levels, trying to be superwoman an multitask is becoming more difficult 42 an I feel 62 lol
Hiya Hidden welcome to our lovely group. Sorry you have fibro. Yes you do feel like a testing mule until you find something that helps. Ask as many questions as you need to. There is always someone around to chat with. If you feel like a rant well that's fine too. B12 is so important in my opinion so is magnesium oil. I have felt the benefit of both. Good luck and take care my friend xx
Hi Hidden welcome to our wonderful forum ☺ I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you, talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro and learning from their experiences.
It does help with the whole process and I wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs and I'm still learning about it, like we all are.
I'm afraid fatigue is a horrid Fibro symptom & some people say it's worse that the pain, so i do sympathize with you. If you look under Related Posts you will find links to other discussions on Sleep, Fatigue. The same with depression. Are you taking medication. How long have you been diagnosed?
Please do go look at the mother site where you will find all the information you need and lots of useful links on Fibro and I look forward to chatting to you on the forum.
Peace, luv n light
Jan ☺
PS. I advise you to lock your post to keep info safe from internet. Pls. follow this link to simple instructions .You will get more replies on a locked post too.

Hi Hidden and a warm welcome to our friendly fibro forum.
It is difficult when you are still going through all the diffrent medications to see which is most effective or has side effects which are manageable.
Sadly it is trial and error and what works for one person need not necessarily work for another, we are all different.
Bathing with Epsom Salts in the water is useful and particularly recommended as a lot of fibromites have low magnesium levels.
Also check with your doctor if you need a blood test for low Vitamin D. Low levels can make your bones ache.
Have you googled the "Spoon Theory"? It describes a way of pacing throughout the day so that you don't run out of energy.
Looking dorward to seeing you around the forum
Kay
Ahh I am really grateful for your advice and tips!! So far everyone has been so welcoming. I didnt know about this forum until my eldest daughter at University informed me. Trying to do some research myself. Must try vitamin D an google the "spoon theory". Very difficult here where I live trying to see a doctor and when you do its another tablet or as if I am being a hassle tbh.....its the tiredness which is awful as at night leg cramps an muscle aches set in. The medication leaves me severely tired the next day so I miss some nights to avoid the tiredness. As I have my youngest to get out to school an I cannot manage or focus when I am tired. Anyway dont want to ramble on!! I will try your recommendations to see how I progress.
Welcome, this site is amazing. I have learned a lot since I started coming here.
I'm sorry your struggling and feeling like a lab rat. I know what you mean though. When I was first diagnosed, I tried pain pills that never really helped that much, I do not remember the number of anti-depressants/anxiety/even bipolar meds. Nothing ever worked for me and hated side effects. So I stopped going to the doctor. I didn't have anything life threatening so I was determined to figure it out without medication. It's not like they have something for fibro. It's meds to help me deal and I couldn't deal with the meds so yea I had to find my own way. I turned to natural remedies.
Well I'm functional. and at this point in my life I'm 31 homeschooling 2 young children& chores & activities with kids, functional is a necessity. So I have to stay consistent with my natural remedies.
I juice at least once a day, more the better though. An over all diet change to include as many fruits and veggies as I can, has helped.
Stretching and full range of motion movements helps a lot.
Massage and foam rolling is extremely helpful, it increases blood flow to muscle which brings in oxygen and really helps the muscles heal. But if you have tight muscles, getting them to loosen first would be a lot less painful. But massage and foam rolling & stretching was what I started with and it was quite painful.
Magnesium chloride oil diluted with distilled water, I rub it on every night. It helps the muscles loosen enough to take the edge off the pain.
I have recently started Apple cider vinegar with mother and lemon and raw honey in the mornings. It is supposed to kill inflammation.
Staying active but resting as needed is important. I hurt more if I rest too much.
Anyways I thinkthat is it. I know is a list. But it all has worked so far. I have started and stopped enough to know this keeps me functional.
I know we are all different, and what helps me might not help you. But you could try see what works for you.
Good luck and take care × ×
Ahhh heartfelt appreciation from your response!! I am overwhelmed by the amount of support, advice and tips I have received so far on this site. Yes I agree with natural remedies which I have now started to try although I do need to take my antidepressants daily.
Stretching, massaging & juicing are all things I must try as I need to be able to care for my youngest as its not good being a tired, irritable mum which sadly does get me down when other mums are out running and socialising at school functions which I do not attend due to muscle ache/tiredness/social anxiety/panic attacks.
Think its been over a year from I have been at a social gathering so 2017 I pray for new beginnings an I have been trying my very best. So far so good.
Once again thanks for the response xx
