It would be lovely to know a bit more about you so that we can help you in the best way possible.

Are you newly diagnosed or have you had Fibromyalgia for a long time?

If you take a look at our website you will find a wealth of information about Fibro on there fmauk.org

We range on the forum from newly diagnosed members to members like me who have been on the forum coming up for 5 years and was diagnosed with Fibro and ME in 1980!

You would have to go a very long way to find a nicer group of people.

If you need any help at all finding your way around the forum, please don't hesitate to let me know, and I will be more than happy to help you.

Hello thank you i have known i have Fibromyalgia, chronic back pain and i have suffered a breakdown due to health and personal problems which is still on going. Let hope it will get better in my personal life and Happy New Year xx

Do you mind me asking if you have been diagnosed by a Rheumatologist?

If not, ask your GP for a referral. Once you have got a diagnosis you can be referred for all sorts of help, for instance Pain Clinics, CBT, Physio etc.

You probably don't want to discuss it tonight, but remind me to tell you about MIND. They are a great organisation that can help people who are struggling.

I have been where you are right now. It is not a nice place to be.

Let's chat in the New Year and start to plan some things that you can aim for which will hopefully help you.

I was diagnosed by the pain clinic but just finding my way around it's a lot to take in thank you

I look forward to catching up with you and giving you some pointers.

Taking on board a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia can be totally overwhelming.

I know many people feel completely lost and don't know where to turn, even though they were possibly expecting the diagnosis.

But you have done something really great today! You have found us

Since I joined the forum I have never looked back. I feel really blessed to have made some truly wonderful friends here.

I have learned more about Fibro on this forum than I ever have from any consultants or doctors.

As soon as you're ready, let me know and we can go through a few things.

I'm around most days.

I've done it again not read other peeps posts 😂😂 sorry to hear about your problems - let's hope 2017 will turn it around for you. As I've already said this is a brilliant forum I like to call it Fibro friendly forum cos that's what it is - no matter how much pain peeps are going through themselves you will find they are still there with shoulders and arms wide open to help you - you will laugh and sometimes cry - marvel at the art work and photographs that are put up on posts by Fibro friends - it all helps make the day a bit easier. Sorry bow08 didn't ask what meds are you on for Fibro?

I take amytriptalene 30mg of an evening - I also have cervical spondylosis (long standing) HBP just having my thyroid checked too - I was diagnosed with Fibro in June this year but find that mine is nothing compared to others on here once I read others posts - I count myself as one of the lucky ones. 😘

I have underactive thyroid and the Medes I am on Tapenadol, Gabapentin , Co-codamol, Nortriptyline, Mirtazapine and Thyroxine

I've been told I have hyperthyroid with multi nodules just had the scan for it on Wednesday and will get results this Tuesday.

Other meds I take are tramadol and paracetamol for spondylosis-candersartan and bendothruseamide for HBP - easy breathe and QVAR for asthma (forgot to mention that) and tabs for reflux think that's enough for me but don't know what this scan will throw up for thyroid.

How long have you had thyroid probs?
