Hi guys. I have been on the medical roundabout for over two years currently. I seem to go from specialist to specialist with a uniformed well we don't seem to find anything conclusive.
My symptoms are the following despite my high medication regime which includes morphin of
No sleep; panic attacks; extreme joint pain; joint swelling; carpal tunnel in both wrists,
My body seems to lock rigid in the morning including my fingers; depression; loss of memory and spontaneous thinking;
New symptom seems to be extreme sharp pain on the soles of my feet like lm walking on glass which stops me walking; sharp pain in the lower back area the tail bone area takes your breath away and again all this despite taking morphine, and a combination of other drugs..
Does this sound familiar to anyone l think confirmation from other sufferers would if possible go some way to making me feel lm not the only individual suffering from these symptoms.
You
I find the medical profession to be very dismissive and my quarterly meetings with neurology and rheumatology seem a waste of time has anyone tried alternative suggestions e.g acupuncture.

Hello Anne51.....I am sorry you are in so much pain...I think you will find most of us on here had to go through a lengthy period of having tests for all sorts of things before we were actually diagnosed with Fibro...everything else had to be ruled out first. Frustrating to say the least....but understandable! Have you tried a Tens machine to help relieve your pain...hot or cold pads can also help. I did have acupuncture years ago for my arthritis and it certainly helped but it became too painful when fibro kicked in. I do hope you find some relief soon and at your next appointment you get a diagnosis....let us know how you get on.....x
Hiya Anne so sorry your in pain and being messed about. As Trikki says we all went around the wrecken before being diagnosed. Does your doc know much about fibro? You can have an information pack sent to him if not because a lot of docs just don't know enough. Keep going my angel and keep reading as much as you can about fibro but also what people find helps too. Good luck xx
Hi Anne51 and welcome to our wonderful forum ☺I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you & talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro & learning from their experiences.
It does help with the whole process & i wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs & I'm still learning about it, like we all are.
I'm sorry you are in so much pain and i see you already have some good advice which I can't really add to, just wanted to say Hi.
Hi and welcome. Ive been on this not so merry go round with health specialists etc since beginning 2014. Diagnosed with fibro before being checked for anything else (Ive had osteoarthritis for a lot longer). Now if I go to doctors with anything it gets put down to fibro. I have family with MS and thyroid problems and this and my concerns fall on deaf ears.
I found acupuncture helpful for hand and foot pain and hot wax treatment on my hands eased the stiffness and pain but neither are long lasting and are something which has to be repeated regularly which can be expensive.
Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I am so genuinely sorry to read this and I would be tempted to ask for a diagnosis one way or the other? And let them know that you need to know and not sent around and around in circles.
I use a TENS Machine for pain and I personally find this very effective for me.
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.
