It's not on in Scotland, shame as I would have watched it xx

It would be 101 on sky tv where use all watch eastenders lol

Thanks for the Hidden , I'll set a reminder to download it on sky catch-up.

For those who don't have sky tv - it should hopefully be available on all BBCiplayer catchup e.g freesat, freeview, etc.

Its about time Fibromyalgia is highlighted and taken more serisouly.

Blessings to all. xx

Hi,

Just had a look. For anyone with Sky, BBC One NI is on channel 979 and BBC Newsline is on there.

Ahh nice one Hidden I will definitely watch that. I think there seems to be a little bit more media coverage than ever before and they are finding out little things with the research, big breakthrough I think was, they can actually see a difference in a part of the brain in people that have Fibro. So yes, all good ;-)

Thanx for sharing (DLA watch out) that's all I've got to say lol..

This is only showing in NI because NI is only just acknowledging fibro. It's been acknowledged and recognised as a chronic condition by the NHS etc on the mainland for some time.

I live in the states. So I can't watch it. :(

But at least it is on and the info is spreading.

I feel maybe we should rename it. Because when people hear fibromyalgia they just shut down.

I worked at a pizza place for a short period after having my oldest several years back. I was trying to describe labor pains to a group of teenagers. And threw in a mention of my fibromyalgia. The most out spoken guy said, I thought that wasn't real and was just an excuse for drugs. He said it in such a curious and non insinuating way. I explained that it is very painful and that I don't take any drugs. That it was very real. He just kind of ok'd before we all got back to work. But it was nice. Whether he believed me or not.

I just feel the name has a stigma. I would rather call it Global Unexplained Pain with Other Ailments. :) just rolls off the tongue doesn't it. :) or GUPOA :)

sorry I was having too much fun with that.
