Hi, I've got a long history of chronic pain. My trouble started when I was 14. I got diagnosed with slipped discs, had three operations, then diagnosed with scoliosis, put in plastic jacket to stop spine from bending more, twice. I had two children which made my problems worse, more slipped discs, now no one can help me anymore, it's all just pain management, I got diagnosed 2010 with degenerative disc disease and Fibromyalgia. I worked all my life until 2006 when after having my daughter my back and pain was unbearable I was prescribed morphine. After ten years of no work and having invalidity benefit I was Atosed and had everything taken off me, DLA included, they lied on my report saying I had bent down for this or that. I waited 18 months for a tribunal with 120 page medical notes but nearly lost our mortgaged house, my husband does work, so I claimed Carers allowance for my Autistic daughter just so I could get money to help pay our mortgage as I was obviously not fit for work, I was on 18 tablets a day, still under the hospital. I was so relieved at not being chased by DWP or being made like I was lying all the time. My Dad had a stroke and was not treated like I was by the DWP at all, why is it people with back conditions are treated like they are lying. I even had the backing of Welfare rights but couldn't wait for the tribunal any longer. I am now worried as I've had my blue badge renewal and it is asking about PIP or DLA etc information, I've had a blue badge renewed three times but I won't this time. Has anyone else been in similar situation as me, sorry for the rant X

I haven't i'm sorry I can't help. I suggest you lock your post, you're more likely to get replies then. Any reason why your name has come up as hidden?

As mmariaaaaaaaa says if you lock your posts so only our community can see what the replies are you will get more replies. Many of us won't reply to an unlocked post as it would mean that evwrythinf we say would be available on places like Facebook. Also it worries us when someone won't even put a moniker on which is what 99 percent of us use. It is not that we don't have sympathy or don't want to help but a few of us have had very bad experiences in the past answering unlocked posts.x

Hi my friend

I am so genuinely sorry to read this and I want to sincerely wish you and your family all the best of luck. You may still be eligible for a blue badge despite not getting any disability benefits of your own.

Local authorities do carry out their own assessments on applicants who are not in receipt of disability benefits and check for a certain criteria. I have pasted you a link below to the disability rights website:

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken
