I've been waiting for some cooler weather, this heat can be unbearable at times, but I forgot how humidity and rain flare up my back pain. This morning was a reminder😂I woke up @ 5 a.m with pounding lower back pain and my sciatica was burrrrning. I took some meds to calm it down and was able to go back to bed (I love sleeping in on my days off) but woke up in the same condition as before, back @ square one😭I would love to utilize my Medical Marijuana, but I have an appt to drive to soon. Soooo I guess I'll do some of my physical therapy stretches and maybe crank up my heating pad🔌♨🛀Does anyone else experience heightened pain/flare ups when it rains? What remedies do you use to lessen the pain?

I'm sorry about waking in pain, I can sympathise as I get it too.

I'm afraid that I have no advice.

You said you have medical marijuana, do you live in the UK?

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling and I sincerely hope that you feel better soon my friend. I had a glance at your profile as there is no such thing as ''Medical Marijuana'' in the UK. I am aware that the UK National Health Service have undertaken trials but they say there is no proof that it helps.

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

Hi Ken, I live in Arizona (I'm aware this page is a fibro group in the UK but after seeing so many Posts from others here in the US I felt it was okay to join) There is so much exciting stuff going on here in the US regarding medical marijuana!😍I am in Pain management for my chronic pain and have been taking prescription pain meds for 4 years. Some of these meds made me very sick and the drs kept playing with dosage and milligram. I heard so many positive things about using Marijuana to help ease my fibro pain and other chronic pain. I finally got the nerve to ask my pain management dr if we could implement Marijuana into my treatment plan and she was very supportive. I've been able to get off a number of medications, I was on a waiting list for 3 years trying to get approved for Lyrica, and was finally approved a few months ago, but Marijuana takes care of my fibromyalgia pain so well I turned the Lyrica down along with other powerful narcotics. My dr was very happy. I can still work and be active. I hope the UK can someday share this opportunity for its citizens. My brother no longer has seizures since he started using Medical Marijuana. The research here in the states is uncovering so many exciting thing. Cancer patients are benefitting as well. Thank you Ken for your well wishes, you take care😊

That sounds wonderful my friend. I would also love to see the UK health service implement some of these ideas. I take Lyrica as it was offered to me through the health service but as a result I have put on a few pounds in weight!

Yes my sister gained some weight while being on Lyrica, does the medication make you crave foods/sweets?

I have fibro too and so want to talk to you about what helps the pain, the medical marijuana you take....
