That's very pretty! What kind of plant is it? Looks like a helibore. I know what you mean about the weeds! Our garden is very small and most plants and shrubs are in containers, but weeds still grow in containers! Cheeky things lol. It's great to see colour in the garden again. It feels like it's been a very long winter 🐸

It is a double flowered aquilegia. For the first day of summer its very cold - I'm in the NE and we are not doing very well for weather this week. I agree about the length of winter.

Lovely photo. Presume it is a hellebore the lady two doors up has quite a collection. When I was clearing this garden I found a clump hidden away under all the weeds so split it and took her a piece as it was one she didn't have. Some of the flowers look like miniature water lilies.

I have just been out and pulled a few weeds as I find after rain they are so much easier to get them out.I was always known as "her outdoors" as I like to be outside. Tiny garden now but hopefully will slowly get it into shape, slow being the operative word. Always amazes me how weeds grow twice as fast as the plants. Mind you some of them are beautiful especially buttercups and daisies.x 🌹🌼🌻

It is an aquilega. They seed all over my garden but are not intrusive. My weeds sound just as fast growing as yours and some of them are lovely too.

Grhh just lost my reply to you silky tablet, well they say a skilled craftsperson never blames their tools but I think it has a mind of its own some days. Lucky you to have doubles M y other garden had some gorgeous colours and some pure white ones which set other plants off lovely. In this garden they all seem to be purples so I would like more variety but or can't complain as I live them. Finding one or two surprises here as I hack away at the overgrown bits and clear couch grass a strange thing is growing at the most just one plant and I am full of anticipation as to what it is . Watch this space if it turns out to be something unusual. oh well back to the mundane eg sorting papers I need to put some method into my madness. No it isn't gardenIng weather.💐🐞🐝x

I can't get rid of my aquilegia. They have become a nuisance. They are everywhere! 🐸

They do spread but are easily pulled out. I find they grow between other plants but dont swamp them, so I leave them alone.

👍😊

Don't fret.

You can have some really nice weeds too.

I have often left them in my garden thinking they were flowers until my husband put me right.

That was in the days when I could do gardening. However it is looking a lot better now that my hubby does it,he knows his weeds from his flowers.

I still think some of them were nice though.
