Appeal
Hi
They will look at how you present yourself
go as you normally would say if going to local shop .
If you take time to go to a lot of effort, you present that you are able to look after your appearance and are able to daily .
So just be you if you would not normally wear make up, or wash, blow dry your hair every day don't on the day of the appeal .
Good Luck
Rose
I've never done that but from what I've read I've seen do not get to dressed as they may think you dress this way daily and try to take someone with you .Again this comes from what's I've read on forum but I would think it good info my friend. Good luck Peck🐤
I would go looking smart.👍😊
I would go looking as terrible as possible, as others have said, if you dress up especially, they will assume that you can do that everyday.
Then again I am a bloke and we don't care how we look
Hi there what's the appeal for hun
Sorry yes just seen what your appeals for. You might want to take a look at my piece on BENEFITS... please don't worry about that make sure you go with someone Hun and all paper work is sorted.. As I have just been going through this. Let me know if you need any advice.
Even though our instinct is to be respectful and smart in our appearance unfortunately that can go against you on appeal as they make th assumption that no if we can get ready, travel and look smart we can do it every day. Good luck .x
Hi Shahanara123
I know this is going to sound awful but I would go looking as unkempt as you feel comfortable going as? If you look smart and presentable it can go against you as they may feel that you can look after yourself. If you go scruffy looking, then they may feel that you need help? I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you

I went looking like I just got out of bed! If you dress yourself in smart clothing, anything like zippers, buttons toggles they will ask how you managed to dress yourself with such severe pain! How do you manage daily, I said I keep my jim jams on if I,m not going anywhere as dressing is a nightmare especially fastening a bra! if you style your hair that's another chore difficult to do they might ask who washes it for you, I said my daughter.. You get my drift??
Well my advice would be wear joggers with elasticated waist, some slip on shoes, maybe a loose fitting tee shirt. Don't do your hair or dye it, dont wear make up (for the ladies that one) and basically dont give them ammunition to say you 'look' as if you are coping.
I would go for the everyday look, loose fitting clothes, slip on shoes etc. However if you are able to get someone to help you dress smartly/wear make-up make sure that the appeal tribunal know that you have had assistance.
This reminds me of another forum (or it might have been this one) where a lady had gone to a PIP assessment and had made an effort. However, by the time she got there, she'd had to travel by train and taxi and was sweaty, had spilled a coffee down herself, had somehow split a seam in her trousers and her hair was a mess. She said she was granted the higher rate of care and presumed it was all down to her appearance... I'm assuming as someone has said on here that if you turn up looking smart with hair done and makeup etc they will assume you are like this everyday and can cope. Telling them someone did it for you or helped you won't cut it I think.
