hi Im,

new here and was diagnosed with fibro 4 years ago. I thought I was going mad, as the symptoms I had were so painful and my brain was like cotton wool. luckily on my 10th attempt at the doctors I saw a doctor who diagnosed me straight away, and soon I was having treatment.  Thank god somebody knew what I was talking about when I said it felt like walking on hot coals.

Hi there

Welcome to our lovely forum :)

I have made some truly wonderful lifelong friends since I joined the forum 4 years ago. Our members really are something else! I have never known such compassionate, kind, understanding people in my life.

You may like to take a look at our mother site for lots of useful information fmauk.org

If you have a look on the right of your screen in blue under Pinned Posts, there are simple steps on how to lock your post.  This basically means that locked posts stay within our community whereas unlocked posts are open to anyone who has access to the internet.

You will also find that you'll get more replies to locked posts.  You can tell that a post is locked by looking at the end of the title to the post.  If there is a little black padlock there it is locked.  All replies to locked posts are automatically locked.

Compared to many of us on the forum you have been diagnosed, relatively speaking, fairly soon.  Many of us have waited years, even decades to get a formal diagnosis.  I think that more is now known about Fibromyalgia and research is being carried out into the condition.

I look forward to chatting to you again.

Lu x
