Hi mskittykat76, i too live in Doncaster, diagnosed about 3 years ago. It is a very lonely disease, no doubt about it, as people who dont have it, unfortunatley cant truly understand it. You really do have to suffer fibromyalgia to have a real understanding of it ....... However Good news, we all understand on here, and there is always someone who will listen to you, when you need to have a rant etc.

Welcome to the fibro forum. I hope you feel well today and soon feel you are among friends . Remember no question is too silly or wasted , we all support and learn from each other . I'm not a avid poster,. But I find so much inspiration and feeling of not being alone from just reading through posts .Fibro is a unique illness so talk about your feelings, be open and honest with friends and family when you just can't do things , be gentle with yourself on low days and laugh as much as you can on high days x

My goodness I never knew Doncaster had so many members in this fibro group. I have never in all my 30 years of fibro spoke to another person who suffers like me here in Donny. I wonder how many more people there is on the forum who live in sunny Donny. Have a nice day everyone.

Hi, welcome to this group! What medication has been tried? Are you under a consultant or did your GP diagnose you? Have you beeen referred to physio? Do you find heat helps? If so try heat pads, deep heat cream and the best thing for me is Linnex heat stick. Available online only, it's quite expensive but you only need a tiny amount (one swipe with it to start with and increase if no effect) and it lasts ages. Osteopath or massage can also be helpful.

I hope you can find some relief.
