Hi and welcome to our forum. Its helpful and lots of fun.To my knowledge FM cannot be diagnosed with blood test. There is a 18 point tender touch test that can diagnose after a lot of other things have been ruled out.If I believe this to be correct.Admin should be around c soon with some very helpful info . Peck.😊
Hi there
Unfortunately there is no set way of doing things with Fibromyalgia. As our dear peck has told you, Fibro cannot be diagnosed with blood tests.
If your GP thinks you have Fibromyalgia he or she will probably refer you to a Rheumatologist. They are the Consultants who specialise in Fibro.
Because Fibro mimics so many other conditions, all of these have to be ruled out before a definitive diagnosis of Fibro can be made.
It can take months, years, even decades to get a definitive diagnosis.
Perhaps it would be an idea to see your GP and ask what he or she suggests happens next, as I do not know what other conditions your GP has already ruled out.
Wishing you all the very best.
