Fibromalgia
Oh sweetie I completely sympathise I had to give my job up after a year of trying once I was diagnosed, although the company I worked for were amazing they tried everything they could to help, but unfortunately both my doctor, surgeon and occupational health said there was no way I would be able to continue that was 3 years ago (I think), and my mind still hasn't got used to not working I have worked from before I left school all through my adult life and I tried so very hard to keep going but unfortunately although my brain was and is still willing, my body isn't I am now 51 and have bad days and good and still try to push myself but by god I pay for it afterwards. It is very hard for any one who does not have this illness to understand, you look fine on the outside but as we both know our bodies are screaming at us on the inside. It all depends on the type of job you do? I was an office based administrator so on the computer all day every day, which combined with cervical spondylosis and other problems the Fibro was making it increasingly difficult to sit all day if you feel it is getting too much maybe you could reduce your hours, I tried this too as I was better first thing in the morning I would go in early and finish in the afternoons.
Whatever you decide to do please understand your not alone sending you big, gentle fluffy hugs xx
I am so genuinely sorry to read this and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution to this issue. I was wondering if you have asked your employer for an Occupational Therapy Assessment? They may be able to look at ways of making reasonable adaptions and adjustments to help you?
All my hopes and dreams for you

Oh god that sounds the way I feel right now, been struggling for weeks at work think I'm going to have to take some time off, feel the same as you, how do you make them understand when you look ok on the outside.
I work for so many weeks then make myself ill, then I have to have 2 or 3 weeks off sick. So I went to see my HR manager and together we came up with a rota of I work 8 weeks then have a weeks rest. I also have a good husband who cooks and cleans so I don't have to. Will see how this goes. Next week is my 1st week off and i'm ready got back, hips, shoulder, knees and feet ache. CJ. Take care.
