Hi there
Has anyone tried cbd oil to help with fibromalgia pain and fatigue? X
I was thinking of trying this as it helps as sleep and anxiety but I've not tried it for pain, yet
Yes, Lurchie22, I use CBD oil. It is legal and doctor prescribed in Canada. I'm in agreement with Zoonie's comments about not much direct effect on pain. BUT, it became very helpful with anxiety and depression, and relaxes the muscles. I've been on it for 7 months. Had to titrate up.... started at (yes decimal) .1 ml. So once I got to what the doc prescribed - 1.0 ml. 2x day, I was feeling that "relaxing" effect. The other and most significant, I think, is that it's VERY good for nausea. I have transformed migraine (a kind of permanent full-body state of migraine including the headache, nausea, aura, dizzies, and a kindof neuralgia all on my left side) and it truly helps with that. Mine is manufactured and provided by Medisenol. Good general info at: medisenol.com. I'm not sure about age requirements elswhere. CBD is available to me in oil or in capsules - I use both. If I need a quick reliever of nausea, I use the oil because under the tongue it can be absorbed into your blood stream much quicker than the capsule. For me, it takes about 5-10 minutes. Best advice? Critical to talk to your doc before you try; potential interaction with other meds you're on is very important. Hope this helps!
I use it as an oil and also drink it as tea. Helps to reduce pain levels but does not take pain away.
Hi if you are in the UK have you read the NHS guide information you will find it on their website at
nhs.uk/conditions/medical-c...
All th best
I tried it, but it nothing for me, except my wallet was lighter by £30.
Had good results at first with stress and sleep (which then helps the pain)but over the months it doesn't seem to be working as well.
I can't afford to take a higher dose so will have to try free methods like relaxation etc. Shame we cannot get it on the NHS as would probably be cheaper for them than other drugs they prescribe.
You are right, mine does include a small amount of THC. In each of my 1 ml tablets, there is .7 mg THC and 9.82 mg CBD. And I've never tried any of the mostly THC or half in half combos. And, it's not prescribed for me. My doc told me about the small amount of THC, but he said that it is "impossible" to remove every last trace of it. And yet some products available are advertised as CBD. Period.
