Hi Erona8

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling in this way and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution to all of this.

I have been using my MediPen for a lot of my pain just recently and as long as I do not have too much it has been quite effective for me. I also use my TENS Machine which I find helps me as well.

There is one service I would love to find, and that is somebody who can massage my hand/fingers/wrist areas and my toes/feet/ ankle areas as these areas are particular achy ones for me, and my pain killers do not appear to help there?

The dry mouth is also particularly horrid, especially since I also use a C-PAP machine at night. However, my Consultant has given me an artificial saliva spray that really works and takes away my dry mouth feeling.

I sincerely hope that you can find some answers to your issues as well. Please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi Ken have you tried the acti patch ? You get a trial one for £2:99 which I bought to give it a try and I felt it gave me relief as I'm totally in agony the only place I struggled with was my shoulder as I felt it was awkward to keep it on. It's like my shoulder is a ton weight and it's too heavy when I stand or sit like dragging on it ( only way I know how to describe it ) got a new tablet trazodone but all they do is give me a headache. Sorry was just meant to be asking if you had tried acti patch lol. Take care. Robbie 138

Hi Robbie

I am so genuinely sorry that they are not working too well for you, and I have got some of the patches but i have not tried them yet. I have been sticking with my Medipen whilst it is working for me.

I also started on Nefopram today, and I noticed a decrease in pain within an hour. However, they have left me feeling somewhat drowsy. I shall have to see how they go?

I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Sounds like a combo of several problems, not necessarily all Fibro. Have you talked to your doc about everything ?

Hi yes was at dr yest and went back on amitryptilin, I suffered a really bad trauma a few years ago and she said it could be that flaring up but not as bad as it did (50/50 if I made it or not). Also fibro flaring really badly with this cold weather, it's been really dragging me down mood wise just been struggling this past wee while.

Cold and barometric pressure changes are my biggest triggers! We keep it warmer in our home than we use too , found it helps my pain . Also, turn on lamps, lights to brighten you mood. Pace yourself and rest when you can . Keeping pain levels low will help your mood too . Maybe getting into a book series would take your mind off things. I suggested a series because I like to follow characters from one book to the next . Whatever your interests are, pursue them, even if it is just reading about in books . Don't give in , you know it will get better, always does. It is the in between times we just have to get thru .

Try short stories, since you enjoy reading . I forget too but find as soon as I start reading it starts to come back . I find keeping a list of characters names and how they tie into story helps also . So many times they weave in and out of story line and helps me to remember like, he is Mart's uncle that robbed the store , stuff like that . Give it a try, just jot down something if you think it might be important later. Enjoy reading again !!!

Hi, I have been fairly quiet on this site but often read posts with interest. Your post stood out as you listed many sympyoms that I experience, such as numbness in limbs, aching body, depression, tinnatus, dry mouth and recently sickness. I have had sickness all week and put it down to a stomach bug. It may well be a bug that started it off but I seem to constantly feel sick now and so tired and sweaty.

Can fibro affect our immune system and is sickness one of the symptoms we have to live with.

in reply toGolfer15

Yea you got the same symtems as me , your sickness could be you medication You need to get some prochiorperazine 5 mg for sickness What medication you taking ?
