The Royal National hospital for Rheumatic Diseases (also known as the Mineral hospital) in Bath has good reports for treating Fibromyalgia and ME ... My sister in law (who has fibromyalgia) lives just outside Bristol and was referred there by her doctor and attended a series of coping sessions and hydrotherapy. Perhaps you can ask your doctor to refer you there.

I have been on a course run by the persistent pain team referred by rheumatoid consultant at QA. Good and a supportive group ....but not a personal service

I do not live in the Bristol area but I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck with finding a suitable pain clinic.

Hi, I see the pain management team based at southmead, but I see them at cossham too (easier parking). They are really helpful in dealing with long term pain, looking to future, dealing with consultants etc, managing day to day especially with conditions with no real cure. My consultant happens to also be the head of department, but I do find the sessions a life line and value them as much as an physical medical treatment. So get a referral as they are so useful and help so much in coping day to day and long term! X

Thank you that helps a lot. Xx

I also went to the MIN hospital in bath but found them rubbish as consultants don't think outside the box and are not up on modern changes in treatment even in the language they use, so I had no faith at all. X

Hi, I'm also considering the mineral hospital, can I ask for some more details about the sessions please? Thanks.
