Tramadol
Not me. Sorry. Best discuss with your Dr. Could you have picked up a tummy bug? Or eaten something "off"?
Hope you get to the bottom of it soon. Being so attached to the big white telephone is no fun 😺
Tramadol made me so ill I had to go to out of hours GP. Was throwing up every 15 minutes and had nothing left in my stomach. He prescribed anti sickness tablets that are normally used for epilepsy.
Wicked medication xx
Tramodol can cause major problems, a GP friend told me never to take it.
Hi
I've been on Tramadol for some time now. It's never given me any side effects at all. Unfortunately any medication can give side effects. Have you looked at the leaflet that comes with the Tramadol to see if that is a common side effect?
I know quite a number of the members of this forum take Tramadol and I don't ever remember seeing anyone discuss this before.
Please don't stop taking your medication straight away. You must tail if off gradually otherwise you could end up making yourself very ill.
Your best bet is to try to get hold of your surgery on Tuesday or even better find a chemist that is open and speak to the Pharmacist to discuss what their advice would be.
Do you mind me asking how long you've been taking it for?
Lu xx
I had to stop it because it gave me such a stonking strange headache and made me have no appetite. Two friends who were prescribed it after operations found they felt slightly nauseous all the time and had little appetite.
As others say if this has come on very suddenly after you have been taking it for some time could be a stomach bug. If it doesn't clear up very soon please get some advice and please let us know how you are doing.currently
Yeh when I was on Tramadol I used tone he same, I got changed to something else, tablets have different effects on every individual, , sounds like you need a change go see gp ,.. Xx
Only ever taken one Tramadol tablet. It made me so ill I never took another.
I take it. It doesnt make me sick like other meds I have tried but it does make me feel like a zombie and want to sleep. It is the only thing I have found eases the pain though. Gentle hugs Joolz.x
Hello, I was a zombie on standard tramadol, Dr changed me to modified release and I haven't looked back 😌 wish I didn't have to take them but they allow me to function x
Hello, really hope you've stopped being sick now and if not suggest you call 111 the NHS 24/7 advice line. Fingers X'd this turns out to be a sickness bug.
The results I had with Tramadol were not good, nausea and really bad thumping head (I do suffer with migraine). I came off the Tramadol and have Gabapentin since, not without side effects -but a little more bearable.
I wish you best of luck in relief from pain plus speedy recovery from nausea & vomiting. Try your best to have little sips of cooled boiled water and if nothing stays inside at all-then seek medical advice-especially in this humid/hot days when we are dehydrating easily without any added extra complications.
Kind wishes

Hi myfriendsmademe
I am so genuinely sorry to read that you have been vomiting and nauseous. It could be caused by a stomach bug or it could be Tramadol related? I have pasted you a link, and the common side effects from Tramadol below, and vomiting is one of them:
*Common: More than 1 in 100 people who take Tramadol hydrochloride
constipation
dry mouth
headaches
increased sweating
sleepiness
tiredness
vomiting
*Taken from NHS Choices.

I think it would be best of you discussed this with your GP just to try and establish whether or not it is a stomach bug or the Tramadol? I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Oh yes.... nasty stuff. I found the slow release format worse by far.
Quick acting/short term makes me less sick but still feel a bit nauseous.
Tramadol is my 'when desperate' med.
Poor you.
Xxx
Yes, and an horrendous headache so bad, I thought the shunt in my head to control hydrocephalus was blocked and mal functioning! The symptoms of that being very similar to the symptoms I had when using tramadol! After going to the doctor's surgery, she sent me to the hospital where I was admitted, and had to spend three days getting over the effects of the awful drug! I now make sure I carry a warning card around with me with tramadol added to the allergies/intolerances.
I lost 1 stone because of all the constant sickness. I did not realize it was the tramadol
until later, but not before endless tests. I had the operation for hiatus hernia a few years before and associated it with that. I have got a problem with muscles in my throat and I think the tramadol just did not suit me. I was afraid to eat but now off the tablets and cope with smaller meals etc. Am desperate to find another options for the pain but nothing as yet other than codeine.
Tramadol is highly addictive I like Kens info for us all I did take it as my rheumi said it would help with flare up It made me feel sick I stuck with it for a while It did take me 10months to get off the dosage I was on highly supervised by GP.
Another Dr tried to prescribe it for me since so no way would I recommend Tramadol.
I understand we are all different when it comes to how our bodies tolerate medications never mind the strong painkillers we all use with Fibro.Sometimes it is better to consult a chemist as they are more aware of options than GP!
Yea I was on Tramadol for 2 months and I woke feeing sick every day It's a horrible drug
