Sending lots of soothing and warm hugs to you and your daughter,

This is so easily done when invites go out way ahead of the event, if you are up to it maybe invite her friend to tea sometime, you certainly shouldn't worry about it. xx

I'm so sorry to read your post. I have to keep a diary propped up in the kitchen permanently open for the week with a pen at the ready as I can easily get dates and days mixed up. I also used the electronic calender on my computer and for anything important i make sure I have a reminder programmed in.

Hope you have a lovely "making up" day together with lots of fun. She will forgive you as she loves you. You are not a bad mother because you forgot one thing it is how you are with her on a daily basis that she will remember later in life. Do let us know what you decide to do and how it went. Good suggestion from the others about involving the friend whose party she missed out on to join the action.x

its so easy to forget things, I have a calendar in my kitchen the type with big squares for each day so I can write important apts/dates in each box and hilite them so they "jump" out at me to help me plan how many birthday cards/gifts I need for that month etc.

maybe have a sleep over for your daughter, a picnic or the pictures? (cinema, sorry showing my age lol)

don't beat yourself up, youre a great mummy x

I am so genuinely sorry to read that and we can all relate to the sadness of a child as it is in our nature. I sincerely hope that things work out well for you and your wonderful daughter.
