Don't know about you but I've got every gadget under the sun?

To help me ...open jars...pick thing up... Lightweight Hoover... steam cleaner...the list goes on.

So I decide to vacuum l/room. I lasted 10mins before I gave up and sat back down.

I hoovered the leg of my pjs ( yes I'm still in them) managed to fangle the louvre blind cord and broke it... Hoovered the cats dinner much to their dismay and nearly choked myself to death with the flex.

I thought it was a good idea to wrap it round my neck to save it trailing on the floor.

I know what your thinking? What an idiot!

Anyone fancy coming over to make me a cuppa ,I managed to put the kettle on but can't get up to make it.

Any offers???😰

Cream Cake,, nothing I loved more than a springy moist cream cake and a good cappuccino.

Can't do it any more with the wheat and dairy intolerance. A friend called back in July she is a fantastic baker she brought me half a dozen gluten free dairy free cupcakes she had gone to the bother of making. " Oh lovely they look divine,,," no soy in them by any chance ?" She was silent for a brief moment swore at me through her teeth. I thought she was going to explode at one stage.

They travelled 80 miles back home with her.

It was sad, but at the same time funny in that if you didn't laugh you'd cry and we all do enough of that!

I have an electric potatoe peeler Santa brought for . Wonder what I will find under the tree this year πŸ˜€

β€’ in reply toShadows-walker

Like the idea of that, does it do a good job of the potatoes?

Shadows-walker profile image
Shadows-walkerβ€’ in reply to

Yes you chuck 1kg of potatoes in and it swirls them around and there peeled in the time it takes my son to peel one πŸ˜€

And I believe he asked ask Santa for it for me πŸ˜€

It's makes a racket it's easy to clean but he forgot to put my fibro head in mix they still boil dry unless I sit there for 20 mins and watch them ,πŸ˜“just like the pizza that was creamated tonight πŸ˜…

My daughter abbi left me with 3 of those and they have all Brocken on me . And have just thought I have a spare alarm clock up stairs that would do the same job .

My son got me one that did a jig and bounced about it was revenge for all the unbreakable alarm clocks I bought him as a teenager ,as you can tell we have good fun these days at my expense revenge for the water pistol attacks when he would get up when he was younger πŸ˜‡ I was the perfect mummy πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

All mothers are perfect that goes without saying! I love the thought of the dancing alarm clock that your son bought you.

Off to bed now as thinking of alarms I did not want to get up this morning when mine went off as I had actually got the old limbs comfy but did not want to miss my Crime Book Club so did make the effort to get up. Glad I did as we had a great discussion and I even managed to go and have coffee with three of them. Mind you I have been absolutely cream crackered ever since but worth it. Hope you have a good night.x

β€’ in reply toShadows-walker

I want one of those!

I had pizza tonight and it was lovely. Brian cooked it I might add.

I am banned from the kitchen having set fire to it 3 times.

I'm a hazard.

A friend gave me a plaque " When the smoke alarm goes off the dinner is ready"

I can burn stuff even when I'm watching over it a bit like you.

Need to investigate the peeler, sounds great x

Haha lol sorry for laughing but it is funny and I can relate. I hope you got your cuppa, thanks for the laugh x 😁

Your welcome I've got my late parents to thank for that. They both had a great sense of humour.

My childhood memories are filled with fun. So lucky!

I am so genuinely sorry to read that and I think that we all have days like that, I know I do! I also have a gadget for every occasion and they are so cool but only if I can actually use them. One of my favourites is my tumble dryer as taking out washing and pegging it on the line is almost impossible, and the dryer has a ready to wear mode whereby I do not need to iron it.

I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the bets of luck with getting this cuppa tea. Please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Now all I need is a gadget that pushes the kids on the swings! Pushing my son on the garden swing kills me but I can do it sitting down now😊 that might be one for dragons den!

β€’ in reply tocraftymummy

Do what I used to do many yrs ago. I tied a rope to my sons swing and sat on the back step pulling it.

I have to say he was only 1yr at the time and easy on the muscles. πŸ˜€

craftymummy profile image
craftymummyβ€’ in reply to

Yeah that's what we do! Tied a skipping rope to the swing and put a chair near the swing, play area is at the bottom of our bug garden, but the not the same and can't go so high now he's nearly 3!, my daughters nearly 5 but she can do it her self now sick if waiting for mummy to have a good day!

Cordless vacuum cleaners are a godsend but before buying check how long a charge lasts. Mine has 2 batteries which are supposed to give me about an hour but seem to last longer. My daughter in law loves seeing what gadgets I've found recently, I'm always on the look out for things to make life easier.

β€’ in reply toLindamt

Love hearing about new gadgets keep me up to date! 😻

Ha, ha, ha Jan, thanks for the laugh, I can just imagine the cats looking at each other and meowing "What's she up to now??".

I got over the trailing cable by getting a cordless vac.

I'd love to make you a cuppa.... address?? xxx

β€’ in reply tomaggi999

A wee place called Blantyre where the famous explorer and missionary. David Livinstone was born. Plus me.

The poor soul popped his clogs many many yrs ago but his birthplace is worth a visit.

Ps. I've also had a cordless one but I turned into a maniac and burned the battery out. Needless to say I done my battery in as well. πŸ˜‚

Latest buy is a hair dryer which attaches to a cap. Hair dryer is really small & light. Haven't tried it out yet but will update when I know if it's any good.

My mum had one of those yrs ago, you can sit and watch TV with it plunked on your head. Very trendy πŸ‘΅πŸ»

best buy for me is a halogen cooker you know the thingy with big glass bowl

its got a timer then it switches itself of

so as long as i set the heat setting i dont burn anything although ive still managed to carbonise a cod in batter as i forgot the temperature was high on it . but overall im not burning as much as usual

have had three steamers in the last few months forget to put water in them they dont like it . but they are good two as they switch off and even if you over time it at least the foods not burnt to a crisp

β€’ in reply topermanentgrowingpain

Hi I also have a halogen oven but I burnt out the element. They are brilliant tho, so I will have to buy an element online. I named it the spaceship because of the way the light goes on and off. Great invention. 😺
