clubbed fingernails

does anyone have clubbed fingernails? the nails each are very curved and can cause infections. been told they are an indicator of either heart or lung problems yet have never had a problem with either.

I am so sorry to read that you have this issue, and I have pasted you a link to the patient UK website cache on this. It would appear that there are many different reasons from Gastrointestinal diseases, Skin diseases, Malignancies and many more:

I would definitely discuss this with your GP just to have the more serious illnesses ruled out of the equation and help put your mind at ease. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.

thanks much ken. will do some further investigating. interesting-noticed one of the conditions is achelasia. i had achelasia along with a hiatal hernia which were surgically repaired last year. too bad nails stayed the same.
