Hi jaci, hope you are well, I am currently in a council flat, 2 flights of stairs up, have been on the waiting list for a year now for a ground floor flat, occupational therapist came out in September last year to access my flat and me, got a letter a week later saying that I should be a ground floor flat, says on it nothing with any stairs at all, I have 100 points with the council and am still waiting, was at citizens advice bureau a few weeks ago regarding my pip claim, mentioned my flat to the woman there who is dealing with me, she says if I've not been offered a new house by next month I've to go straight to her and she will help me out with it, so I would recommend that you go to your local CAB office and discuss the matter with them, hope this helps 😃
I am so genuinely sorry to read that and I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck. I was wondering if you have had an Occupational Health Assessment from Social Services as they can help with getting a stair lift?
