My rheumatologist has been brilliant too even though I got a negative for rheumatoid arthritis he's diagnosed me with inflammatory osteoarthritis which is similar but not as bad. I've just started on some new medication which will hopefully slow down this awful disease. I can hardly use my hands some days and my feet and ankles can be horrendous so I think you might find him very helpful. I wish you all the best. X

Hi I have osteoarthritis and yes it is horrendous. Got up this morning bent over. Even opening a bottle of milk was painful. Which painkillers do you use. I give up on them. Love Karen xx

Hello, I was referred to a Rheumatologist and diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. That's the last time I saw here and was left in the hands of the GP. hope your visit goes is helpful.

Since my original diagnoses, after being told I had RA, and then havimng that diagnoses changed, I have been re-reffered twice and discharged being told nothing we can do except advise taking pain releive it sucks to be honest. now I just get on with it and see gp when need to. I have a number of other conditions so at least get bloods done regularly

Same here. Diagnosed by 2 rheumatologists as Sero neg RD last March and given 2 different meds which I had back reactions to and a year later told by a registrar "its just osteoarthritis and fibro" and discharged back to GP even though I am worse than a year ago. I requested that GP re-referred me which he was reluctant to do until I told him that a registrar discharged me. Also I have sent a complaint letter to Rheumy dept as I am fed up with being passed around and no one getting to the bottom of what is wrong. Feel like they are doing this to get the numbers down.

I know how you feel I had a stroke then found out I had APS first one discharged me then I got a call I had to come in and see anther one who was so good and helpful then I was to come back and see her but she on mater leave so had to see other one that neve asked me nothing just come back in a year but a month be fore come and have all the bloods done if they come back ok then I will discage you my GP was not happy I was not happy now I am got to see a specialist in Sheffield in July now see wot happened this time so good luck

not good hun keep pushing yer were just numbers sometimes they dont take time to see the real person i feel like oh its her again wanting her pain medication and moaning she cant sleep depressing

My blood results showed negative also.
