Hi Keeley
Just wondering... is your throat also dry?
Fibromyalgia often goes "hand in hand" with Sjogren s syndrome (my sister in law has both)
This affects the glands in your mouth (salivary) meaning you don't produce enough saliva and causes dry mouth and throat.
It also affects the glands in your eyes which produce the
tears and can lead to dry eyes and a gritty feeling on your eyeballs.
If this feels like your symptoms then speak to your doctor because he can prescribe something to help.
Or alternatively it may be caused by any medication you take because some have the side effects of causing dry mouth.
Mention it to your doctor when you next see him, or ask the pharmacist if a tablet s you have cause dry throat.
Xxx
I have this sore dry throat, dry eyes and nasal and thought it was the drugs I had taken for RD last year even though since stopping them I still have it all. Throat sore and husky voice with occasional swollen painful glands dry itchy eyes and dry nasals. I never thought it could be fibro! I was told I have sjorgens but didnt think the throat thing was from that! Gentle hugs Joolz.x
I seem to get a sore throat when im starting with a flare up x
